§ 4-1. Independent auditor.
The Borough of Callery does hereby authorize the appointment of an independent auditor who shall be a certified public accountant, registered in Pennsylvania, a finn of certified public accountants so registered, or a competent public accountant or a competent finn of public accountants to act as independent auditors for and on behalf of the Borough of Callery.

§ 4-2. Annual appointment.
The appointment of an independent auditor as defined in § 4-1 of this chapter shall be nlade annually by resolution duly enacted by Borough Council in accordance with the Borough Code.

§ 4-3. Powers and duties.
The independent auditor so appointed shall be authorized to undertake such duties and exercise such powers as independent auditors shall be pennitted by law to so do in accordance with Subdivision (K) of Article XI of the Borough Code.1

§ 4-4. Elected Auditor abolished.
The office of elected Borough Auditor shall be hereafter abolished as provided in Subsection
(7) of 53 P.S. § 46005 (Powers of council).
